I like the treatment of the rings as well, but I think you have to eventually break from that concept and focus on something independent of it. The elephant I feel is the most effective approach.
I like the temple, the crazy statue dude, and the lotus. I think those ones best support a close relationship between the rings and the logo without being too gimmicky like the dragon and the elephant. Also try just using the profile of the Buddha head with the type to the right of it.
From the top image, I really like the elephant.... very interesting n creative and also the middle right one with the face is an attention grabber but the elephant is def. my favorite!
bangkok is tough for me to imagine because i've never really looked into the history of it. all i can think of would be thailand and it's elephants and thai food, but that wouldn't make a good logo (the food). so the elephant would be fun. Top left FTW
the two sketches that really stood out to me were the elephant head and the dragon. i think if you spent some time stylizing and making it unique the logo would look awesome
I like the one with the frontal view of the elephant and the flower, but I think that the rings and the icon are competing to much on all of them. I would focus of one or the other.
i am not to crazy about your work but i guess the city talks for itself. i really like how you teated 2020 with olympic rings.
