Korean cough syrup

The designs I chose for my package will be trying to imitate an Asian culture feel to it weather it be form and organic form like a piece of tree, or bamboo. Also another packaging idea I had to try to imitate an old fashion Asian style would be to try to make the cough syrup bottle look like the old vials the use to sell.

Cube Exercise Geronimo


For my exercise I had the word "Didactic" which mean the act of teaching or trying to teach. So I made a t.v. which most people claims takes away from learning and I put a classroom of kids in there raising their hands trying to learn, with the word didactic in the background. I'm not quit sure if it is affective yet. 











Project 1 / Food + Beverage Geronimo

The product I have chosen to do is Corona Beer, manufacturer is Grupo Modelo. 








About:

Corona beer is a brand of pale lager, produced at a number of breweries in Mexico. It is one of the best-selling beers in Mexico and is one of the top-selling beers worldwide. Corona beer is available in over 170 countries.
In the United States, Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom, Corona is commonly served with a wedge of citrus fruit, usually lime or sometimes lemon, inserted into the neck of the bottle, adding tartness and flavor.
In the United States, Corona Extra is the top selling imported beer.

Target Audience: 
Corona main target audiences is mostly outside of Mexico, mainly in the U.S. and the U.K. of an age range of about 21 and up and of annual income of 15,000 and up, aimed at single males and females.

Competitors: 
Corona main competitors are other import beer companies such as, Heineken, Tecate, Stella Artois Lager,Dos Equis XX, and Labatt Blue.

Basic Strategy:
My strategy would will be to try to distinct the Corona bottle beer from the other. I feel that our logo is very different from our competitors but now it is time to try to bring to beer bottle into the future. Good and bad Packaging

 The first five are the packages that I feel works. The Activate bottle caught my eye with its color schemes and I like the function on the cap I found it clever. For the Lorina lemonade I feel like it work because of its simplicity and I feel like it would the drink of choice in a small cafe in Paris. The Pringles package immediately drew my attention just form the colors on the cover and not to mention its packaging is different from all the other bags of chips. For the Frebreze's spray I felt like its packaging design was great because of the nozzle and how its different from the rest, its slick and very modern. As for the Tabasco bottle I wanted to put that on the good packaging side because its classic just like the package for the salt we saw in class, we could take away the bottle and leave the logo and everyone would know what it was or visa versa. 

Bad packaging starts with Ralphs anchovies box I feel like its so plain and generic that the person who mad it should be fired. For the diet cola it just look like it blended into the shelves not eye catching at all. For the Zico drink I felt like it was a poor attempt for trying to look modern on new, it was suppose to be for a coconut juice but instead it looks like a bottle that old people would drink to stay regular. Another package design I feel failed was the lotion just like the Ralphs anchovies it just look so plain and generic like the person who design it didn't really try. Lastly was the re nu bottle contact solution not that its really that bad but if they wanted to compete with the other contact solution companies I feel that it would not hold its own.
